hello to everyone..
I'd like some advice about a problem..
I need to bevel the edge of an extruded square inside of a mesh, but when I try strange things appear.
in the image below there are the steps and the problems occured.
I'd like to model this box without hypernurbs but with some bevel.

thank you in advance

You have many choices:
use AMA Chamfer maker
alternate inner extrude and extrude
weight the edges/adjust phong tag
make a spline and lathe/ not 360, use 4/after lathe pull out edges

I'm sure there are more, but any of these will do the job.

Hexagon does a very nice job of bevel/chamfer. In fact that's what I bought it for. It's pretty cheap (though I did get it for 3 in a Daz special offer).

you should create the bevel for the edge as you extrude it in order to avoid these problems.

in this case, just delete all the inner geometry, cap it, and use the bevel tool and create the type of edge you want. should just be 3 bevels or so to get the rounding you desire.
