View Full Version : Help me deciding on Wacom tablet's size ^^v

I've been after a Wacom tablet. However, I'm stuck at weighting between price and size.
I'm using 24' widescreen and planning to get medium size 6x11 and have been recommended to get:

6x8, price around A$430s
9x12 price around A$560s

The cheapest 6x11 itself is around $480s

I'm told not to worry about the extra wide feature because with the normal size I can adjust the height ratio.

Doesn't adjusting height ratio make the tablet work area smaller?
Also is the extra 3' justifiable to spend extra A$50? I mean justifiable in term of easiness when using the tablet.

I purchased a 12x12 Intuos1 for use with a single 5:4 aspect display. When I upgraded to a 16:9 display, I was losing the bottom half of the tablet.

I purchased a 6x11 Intuos3 and love it.

- much closer aspect ratio match
- full use of tablet surface
- Intuos3 controls on sides of tablet

If you're going to be keeping the 24" widescreen for several years and not moving back and forth between 4:3 and 5:4 aspect displays, get the 6x11.
