Great work, you don't see a lot of generalist reels where the quality is consistent but you've presented this well and the standard is high throughout.

One thing with the edit of your reel - just after the clip of the bird hitting the traffic signals there's a shot of a police car that appears really briefly. This looked a little like it wasn't meant to be in, or was too short to see it properly. You could lose that and perhaps shorten it a little to just include the strongest clips - this is just a minor point though!

Hi James, thanks for your interest. Yeah, maybe you're right about that shot. It is there on purpose though, and it actually is that short. I guess it works better in the film with the shot after it, but sadly, I didn't animate that one.

No probs. I agree, sometimes things work better in the context of the original film than when they're put onto a reel - it was just a minor point though as I say... looked a little like a jump cut in the reel and with so much other quality work there I think you could take it out and not miss it.

The storm giants look great, really imposing and threatening. Nice idea too. Look forward to seeing more of your work on here.

excellent work man. i remember seeing your VFS reel a while back at school. Unbelievable job, boggles my mind how you got that much done in such a short amount of time. on top of that the concept was really unique.
