View Full Version : import,export screw-up
olivierth 02-11-2007, 11:03 PM I exported it at SubD 1 to 3dsmax so I could change the UVs (copied the UVs from one, pasted it to this export, it worked so there are no vertex order changed) and when I exported from Max and went back to ZB, it worked and looked fine untill I when into higher SubDs
Like so...

What's your precision set to in the OBJ export in max? It defaults to 6, which is too low. Use 10 or higher. (I use 12)
Otherwise, UVs get collapsed, which changes your vertex numbering, (silly ZBrush,) which in turn screws up your model when stepping up and down across subdivision levels.
