Learning from "Art of rigging II" - need help with spring setup.
The guy uses a wire deformer for this setup.What you do is create a curve that is follows the path of the spring.Then you create a wire deformer,so now what you do to that curve reflects the spring polygon surface.
As far as i am concerned this is a finished spring setup.But what the guy does is he creates joints and then skin binds the spring curve to the joints.And then by scaling the joints you can change the spring's squash and stretch...
So my question is why he creates those joints when everything is fine without them.Works fine with the wire deformer only...
