so me and this other person are gonna take a stab at doing some 2d/3d colaborations.-
this is the first test.

any tips on how we could improve on our methods? Any tips, or comments would be greatly appreciated. (oh and I know that the door is too small)

Well my advice on improving your methods is to have better integration of lighting. In your piece here, the really dark 3d environment doesn't match up the extremely bright 2d character.
It makes both mediums seem really mismatched.
I suggest either darkening the 2d character or brightening up the environment.

Hope that helps.

You could try rendering the background with dark outlines, like toon-shaded, but with the textures intact (hope this makes sense). To me, that would help.
But it's a matter of personal preference. If you don't like it, ignore me.
Just an idea.

Is this going to become an animation?
