Well since I can't register for some reason at the bugtracker site, and I know some devs dwell here, I thought I might make a small thread about some "bugs" in the latest release candidate.
When in sculp mode, none of the (viewport) hotkeys work anymore
no more:
z for wireframe toggle
d for drawmode toggle
alt-space for orientation toggle
ctrl-space for transform manipulator toggle
ctrl-alt-g/r/s for individual manipulator toggle
now wireframe may seem useless, but fact still remains that it is broken, in other modes where it is equally useless, it does work according to the icon(it doesn't affect the viewport, but you can notice by it's icon in the toolbar that the mode is in fact wireframe.
Only n works for the sculp properties.
also while this isn't really a bug it is something that has been bothering me for some time.
ctrl-tab gives you vertex/edge/face selection in edit mode, but in object mode you can only swap to weight paint this way. While there are a lot more modes.
I always figured this would be added later or since there is going to be an overhaul in 2.5 that it didn't really matter.(in fact it still is minor, but it's one of those things that DOES keep ringing in the back of your mind, telling you it just isn't right)
But in sculp mode, ctrl-tab which is a form of object mode, gives you the option to select a number of brushes.
off topic allready:
Maybe in the interface overhaul sculp could be added under tab? this does remove the quick tab in and out, so that might not be a solution here, but hey I'm just brainstorming for a moment.
back to topic now....
