View Full Version : Illustrator: Logo help > Spherical archs

Hey there, I was curious how I would go about creating sweeping archs - like those seen in the images below - with Illustrator for use in a logo.

I've tried a few differnt ways all to no avail :scream:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

scan it and trace it with the pen tool closing the points.
once you have the first point click on the next point and drag to create the needed curve and so on. The less points you use the cleaner the cruve you will make.
make one and copy it and move in place.

you can achieve this using a proper shape made into a symbol and textured onto a cylinder

(using the filter>3d>extrude&bevel with map art & toying with options)
