Quandary One12 02-26-2003, 12:09 AM hello i'm having a hard time with this wrinkle in my model I have tryed everthing I know and I still can't get it out here is a few images of it
the model it's self..

you need to remove the triangle polygon. make it a quad. with it only having 1 point in the corner, it gets pulled upwards when the meshsmooth is applied. and make a cut in the poly on the side. following down from the new quad you make.

The fact that you have large amounts of space between the surrounding verts doen't help. If you are trying to retain some of the shape of the unsmoothed mesh, you may want to add some geometry i.e. more edges/verts in a close proximity to the corner area shown. I think that has more to do with it than the tri.:)

This happens to me so often, what I ussually do is assign a STL-check (most of the time this shows me problem) or select all faces and Unify all normals, and/or check if all vertexes really are "collapsed" (I select the vertexes in the problem area one by one and collapse them) If that doesn't work, I just throw away the face that's giving me a hard time, and recreate one (Sometimes you have to use "Slice" or "Cut" to create an extra vertex, so you're able to draw a quad) Hope this will be of any use.

thank you all for the help i got the wrinkle out so now i'm off to get the rest of the model done thanks again once it's done i well show you what i got....
