1) You can use more than one particle system.
2) Use some more winds (sphere) in the middle of the vortex.
3) Have fun!

I have gone through and changed a few things, although at this stage I am still playing around with ideas. I had put some rotating loud at the top of the twister but the render times were killing my laptop, so I have take it out.

Particle systems will kill your system and eat up ram. If you're running a dual core or hyperthreading it's even worse. Add the /3BG switch at the end of your boot.ini for starters. Then defrag your page file and MFT with a good defrag program such as Diskeeper Pro. If you have Partition Magic as well go ahead and move your page file to the sweet spot on your HD. All of those will greatly improve your particle calculations tremendously as well as going to a high horsepower single processor. Most laptops (under the $2500 mark) aren't any good for particle systems. However Krakatoa is comming out soon so don't charge out and buy a new system yet.

Happy Twisters,

Generally speaking my MacBook Pro copes with particles.

Anyhow I have put an updated clip on youtube, showing the twister destroying a box and then sucking the pieces. Also I have put some clouds in , although I am not totally happy with how they look.
