This is an animation test for a commercial done in almost 5 hrs....My eyes are tired seeing this and i've somehow lost control....hehee...
pls crit and suggest....for improvements....be as harsh as possible...

haha.. it bounced back through the guy?! :D LOL thats crazy. anyway, overall your animation is pretty good, but it needs to be more dynamic. the guy swinging should take more steps as he attacks, maybe jump up to strike harder? that's about all i see.. exagerate the whole thing way beyond the limits of human abilities, and it will look cooler. good luck!

it looks like you have a good start, what stood out to me the most however was the pose right before the final stab. I would fix the silouette so that the sword doesnt line up with his leg, and also try pulling his right arm and shoulders back a bit more for some extra oomph. Other than that its good :)

its a pretty solid animation but the only problem i have is why would the second guy jump if the guy with the sword is swinging down....i would try to make him swing across from right to left...would look better i think!

Thanks mistasam02....after i posted this , i showed it to the client and he liked it.....i too feel that exaggerated version wud have been more interesting....may be i'll do it and post soon....

Very impressive for how quickly you've done it. There are a few things that I think could be fixed. The main thing that disagrees with me is when the guy leaps over the guy's swing. The swing is coming down from overhead (like an ax swing) and therefore if the other guy jumped upward, he'd jump into it, not over it (IMHO). I think that the leap over is good, and gives the character (as well as the scene) personality, so instead of taking that out, I'd change the other guy's swing to being forward instead of downward (if that makes any sense).
My only other problem is that I didn't get that the sword-thing flew back thru him until I read mistasam's reply. There are two things I can think of that might help sell the concept. One is that the sword could stick when it stabs him, instead of going thru him and falling to the floor. The other, more important thing, is that it's not recoiling. If this were to really happen, the reason it would happen is because the sword bent, then the character lost grip on it, and it recoiled or SPRUNG backward and thru him... thus, I think the sword will require a little rigging to get a bend on it, and the bend will probably only last one or two frames but I really think it will sell the gag.

I saw that car hit thing from u...awesome stuff...the way both are interacting...
I'll soon b fixing it again...but i got a very mixed comments on the first part...the swing issue....let me give it some more thought ...the second one is very important one...will fix that soon..thanks for that...
