View Full Version : Export/import problems from MB to MAYA

Hi there

I am a MAYA Animator and I just

Started a new project involving Motion Builder

And now I having some Export/import problems from MB to MAYA

I mange to export the character to Maya with all the FBIK working and the Bland Shapes Targets contact

BUT- I got one Main Problem –

When I am moving the root .the legs seems to go with him

I tried to add the "floor contact" and he fixed only the movements on the Y translate

In the other directions like X Z transition and all the rotations –it those not work

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I could not open the video, but as far I understood you right the thing you are missing is Effector pinning (character controls window) With that you can pin down the patrs of the rig
you want stay in place while moving the others.

Thanks alot the problem solved. I just needed to change the pin or unpinned value in the channel box/
