I working on a animation in one of my scene my charater gose to hell. But i have issues with ehe lava texture. They keep coming out very cartoonish and i looking for more realiasm.
Somthing more like this:

I'm useing lightwave, xsi,zbrush and PScs2.
so if you have any ideas help will be appreciated

Rererence, reference, reference... go hunting for all sorts of pictures and video of REAL lava - absolutely no CG reference.

Then watch it till you can break it down in your head.

Then make the texture. :)
