Hallo,

I have my problems with the metal.
I try and try and try but i´m a little frustrated with result. It doesn´t look like real metal.

Specially, the brushed alu(exhaust system) and cast alu(frame and swingarm).
I hope someone can help me.

Great model! :buttrock: The metal looks pretty good to me except for the big part at center-bottom, which seems too bright. Maybe add a little diffusion and choose a different environment map. Perhaps increase the diffuse falloff in the illumination tab. It would help to know what settings you're using now.

Sweet model! That rocks :buttrock: !!!

How long did it take you to build that?

Oh yes i forget my settings

So i try to explain:
- at first it´s an SLA Danel-Shader
- a grey blue color
- 3 gloss lights
- diffuse reflection
- in the environment-channel is a sla
tiles-shader (lines 2) with a darkgrey to
lightgrey transition.
- a little bump (wavy turbulence)
- and anitrop... :surprised scratches I
don´t no the name

this is nearly the same for this 2 textures

Nice to see you here at C4D forum at last!! I've been following your progress over at the WIP forum - you should have shared your work with us fellow C4D-junkies earlier:wavey:

I think the model is just amazing - and that beeing done with R7 - wow - how on earth!!?

I think the metal looks a bit dull and unreal because of the overall render - have you tried the fake HDRI tech with Cinema - there's a great thread here, just run a search. A good environment might give the metal some credibility - but the model just rocks!! Tutorial, please,please.....heh

Tutorial for us all.
I think you, PEOPLE, you don't need a tutorial for this kind of stuff.

You both seems nice as that famous japanese modeller is(Yutaka Igarashi)!!!

Very nice

Try the lumas shader with the anisotropic scratches.

The metal looks to smooth thats all, even try the random noise shader set at about 1 - 2% bump on a background of 50% grey,it will break the surface up just a smidgeon :)

The lighting could also do with some tweaking.

Overall Ir eally like it - the only critques I wuold add have nothing really to do with the materials.

As a bike owner the things that caught my eye were:

The area directly under the seat - I would be afraid to hit a bump for fear of breaking the seat area of the chassis off. It looks like it needs some support there.

That chain needs some more "meat" to it. The bike screams spped but the chain whimpers *snap*

The gear shift (by footpeg) gets kind of lost. Maybe alter the angle slightly so that it is more apparent.

Possibly give teh chassis pieces a more "brushed" look. Right now they are very smooth.

The bodywork or reflection (mushroom shaped highlight on Claudio72's picture) is the ontly real visually distracting element to me.

I like it though. Same manufacturer and color scheme as my bike ;)
