hello how to use curves and objects to control the joints instead of the ik handle

Make a curve ( I like a linear(1) curve) in the desired shape.
Put it in the position you want.
Freeze transform.
Then parent or point constaint(whichever you need) the object that needs controlling by the curve.


I can send you a simple rig if you want.

but I dont seems to be able to do it :(
do I need to put the pivot of the curve at the same place of the bone`s pivot ?
basically what I am trying to do is for instance on a human squeleton I want be able to control the root bone by selecting a curve instead of the ik handle

select your ik handle, then shift+select your controller (i.e your curve) and then press "p" so when you select your controller, it will control the ikhandle....
