Title: space marine - low poly
Name: Rob Aduna
Country: Canada
Software: XSI

My latest 3D work using XSI 5.11 and Photoshop. It's a low poly model made with just over 6000 triangles. It has a few separate texture maps, 1024 x 1024 each. With this, I just wanted to practice my texturing skills and I think that i've learned alot from doing this one. Feedback is welcome as always.

Nice work, man. You can probably lower poly count by 50% with normal maps and some geometry optimisation. Texturing is very good.

hey thanks for the comment. and yes, you're right, i could have used a little less polys than what i used for this. normal map will be kept in mind for my next project. meanwhile, i also realized that the arms are a little too thin and short. so i fixed that:

Great mapping. A lot of detail in it. Good job.

hey thanks alot people! i invested alot of time in this and it took awhile to finish. but it was worthit. i had alot of fun and learned alot in the process as everything was hand painted and no photo manipulations were used.
