Hello all...

I am fairly new to this community but hope to post and discuss all things art in the future. I just caught the challenge and am going to attempt to finish before Friday...
Probably won't finish but at least I can get some critiques.

My race are the weadlings. They are a tree dwelling race in Fangorn forest. Mid sized bi-peds with oversized feet and hands, with a large tail that originates from the back of their head. My model will be of a male weadling.

Tomorrow I will post the concept sketch (it's the office :D )

Well, one more day and some change.....

If I get enough done tomorrow night before I hit the sack, I will make it an official entry..otherwise, just consider this a humble offering of what I am working on. ;)

Only the arms and some more detail left..I don't think I will be able to texture it in time though.

Sheeesh... last night I can work on the contest, time ran out for me. Tomorrow is a full work day, so I won't have time to finish.

So I am posting what I did get done in hopes that I can get some feedback from you fine folks.

The race is a tree dwelling race in Fangorn...abnormally long arms, stocky. They stand upright about 6 feet tall, but walk mainly with a slight stupor. They have a "tail" that extends from the back of their heads that helps with stability when perching in the trees. They seldom walk the ground, usually only when foraging.
I was planning on adding some more overall detail, and in the following images, the head is not connected to the body yet. I think I am going to finish it anyway to see how it turns out.

I haven't gotten many comments on the character yet...so anything would be appreciated.
