Good day! im having a bit of a problem with the Maya instancer. im creating an airplane bomber dropping bombs and creating debris and explosions as the bombs hit the ground. so i use maya particles for the bombs and instance the model bombs. all expression work well- rotPP, scalePP, customIndex- all expressions work. then i create a particle collision event. so that when the bombs hit the ground i can make explosions and debris fly. heres the problem, i instance debris on the collision event particles. but the debri instancer node would not input the expressions - rotPP, scalePP, customIndex, etc. the expressions are there. and placed on their respective instancer attribute. but the derbi instances dont have diff per particle rotations, scales and customindex.

i hope i explained it well. hope someone can help me here. thanks.

I cant see why it isn't working, have you allowed for 'all data types'? Also 'Event Type' in the events manager is set to 'Emit'. Each particle shape has its own rotPP and indexPP.

all data types are checked. and i have input the rotPP in rotation type, scalePP in scale, customIndex in objectIndex, on the instancer. in event type i used "split". i dont know if the problem is with the event or having 2 instancer nodes in 1 scene. or maybe its with using split or emit function.

are u already through wid particle collision events...
goto particle collision Event Editor,
Create New Event
Set Event type to Emit
Event Actions > Check Original Particle Dies.
Now u can play wid d new born particles
