Title: Lucius Lycan
Name: Nicolas Boyer
Software: Maya, Modo, Photoshop
I made this werewolf principaly with mudbox and modo.
The mesh base was made in modo then i sculpted him with mudbox, then rendered in modo.
The fur was made with maya and shave and a haircut.
I try to give him the most realism as possible ... I hope i'm successful.
Comments are welcom of course ...

The model is perfect  .
acually I didn't like the hair on chest..:D
but it's really nice on the head (it's like hair of lions) above the shoulders..
very cool pal
I hope u success...

The chest hair does look a little to fine. He also looks like he has a too short of a nose, but I think it is just the angle. I really think you did a great job and it is a good image.

Yeah that's a great render.
It might look better if you made his whole body hairy, and expose the skin on the stomach and a little on the lower chest

Thanks all ... ;)
He has a short nose, maybe too short it's true...
I'm agree with you the fur on the chest is less succeeded than the head ...
To show you more about the modeling and textures i post here a few images :

as I say : super model.. super texturing
but the hair is not the same professional level as the model..
acutally it needs more and more and more hair testing & studing..

Awesome model. I love the attention to detail.
he has a really aggressiv expression, really cool. You've done a great model Elendil
I'm just agree on the hair, i know this is not simple, but some parts like on the front shoulders need to be more worked.
Anyway, another great character in your folio.
