Title: Architecture - Escalators
Name: Christian Rambow
Country: Germany
Software: CINEMA 4D

This image ist a still from our intro animation of our 2007 Demoreel we are working on and collecting actual projects from time to time.

The Lighting was done with 2 Ambient omni lights and 4 shadow casting Omnis to keep the rendering time at a very low level.

I've used C4Ds glow and sharpening effect to simulate the overcasting light that comes from outside.

simple but effective.
Really good lighting. If anything I think the light should bloom around the edges of the person at the top of the stairs. He has a sharp silouette which looks a little odd.

Great image with really nice composition and lighting. I really like the placement of the figure but can't help feel that he looks a bit flat like a cardboard cut-out. I think that he would work better and look more real if you did give him some form by letting some light shine onto him from behind...something akin to film noir maybe.

Thank you very much for the comments.

I will see if the person on the top of the Stairs will make it in the final intro,
because a stiff one is looking a littlebit weird while the rest of the scene is moving.

You're right with the flat look of the person ... i should have put some more glow in
post.

For shure i will post the final animation but it can take some time,
because we are just working on the entire reel (intro, outro and preparing existing
scenes so it fits our needs) between projects.

Thanks again and i am glad you like it :)
