View Full Version : reuse rig problem
kraftzman 02-06-2007, 06:53 AM i downloaded this free rig created by ChrisOlsen.
and trying to rig a simple feet object as shown in the attached image.
i started by deactivated the bones of the rig, import the feet object,
then activated all the bones back, enabled 'IK' & 'Deform',
but when i try to move the feet IK, the mesh did not deformed?
have i missed anything or maybe i've the wrong idea that a rig can be reuseable.

the quickest and easiest way I feel to re use a rig is to go to Modeler first
Load the Mesh teh rig is designed to uses
then size and edit your mesh to match that rig once
Also check the weight maps if any on the old mesh and add the same weight to you new mesh
Now in layout load your rig then used replace and load your object
it "should" work pretty much straight away if not we need more info ;)

ok. i load the object using 'replace' instead of 'load' and it work now!
