View Full Version : preload frames in PFX?
Captain 02-24-2003, 11:38 PM Im trying to mess with the LW particle emmiters...is there anyway to preload frames. That is, I want an emmiter to function a certain way, but I want to pretend its been doing such for some time before the animation...Like a scene with rain, i Don't want to have to wait till the rain from the emitter fals to the ground at first before I can start doing my other animating...

I usually start the emitter many frames early and then start rendering on the later frames....

You know; you can set a negative value for the start frame. (And I mean on the emitter) Just make sure you give the particles enough lifetime.
