What happened to her nipples? :) The hands I think are not as good as the rest. Their poses don't look very natural, especially the right hand, the thumb looks very twisted. I like  What's her dress supposed to be made out of?

Good LORD!:bounce:

Gotta say it, I had a visceral reaction to this image- for some reason.... Usually I'm too jaded for almost any non-real visual image to affect me but something here worked for me. Dang!:surprised

The skin over her breasts is especially disturbing. AGH! I need to go soothe myself with my wife now. Bye bye.:D

The design is from the "tooth fairy" creature in a yet to be releaced horror movie, right?

Thanks for all the comments guys

EZ Schwartz - yeah I think your right the thumb is twisted abit especially on the right hand thanks for pointing it out.

Dearmad - glad the image had an effect on you! I laughed when I read your post :)

Octavio - yup! you got it I was waiting for someone to say that. I based it on tod mcfarlane toy, I had a design for some wings it was acutally a seperate creature that wrapped around her back but I kinda like it without, idunno maybe 'll post em and see what you guys think.

I don't think he really needs nipples....i mean she!...lol !...great work man. Nice tone and atmosphere. I know you're moving on to another project, but maybe some more definition of the lower rib cage would make it more horrifying if thats what your in to.

Abnormial - thanks for the suggestion, yeah it make her even more creepy sinking in that rib cage some will see :) i've been working off and on on her for awhile now and am pretty sick of lookin at it, never know though maybe i'll feel like working on it again some.

HapZungLam - thanks although I can't really take all the credit for the design, I based it on a toy I bought and other creepy looking characters i've seen.

Imc - thanks yeah xsi is great! I think there was a couple other posts I made along time ago but i'm sure they are gone by now, this is the first thing i've posted in awhile. More to come soon though.:)

Nice job Kes. I like the low resolution you kept the hair at, makes it seem rough. Yeah Post it with the creature, it was wicked (also explains the holes on her chest) and the face has a really nice look to it.

Wow great modeling. What techniques did you use? You have a very good eye for proportion and form. Nice work! :applause:

the Body looks great, but The face looks to masculine. If it wasn't for the scragaly hear (how did you do that by the way?) and the boobs. I would have thought it was a man. Some things that you can try to do is shrinking the ears, making the chin a little bit smaller, and more curvyness to the face, that is if you feel like doing more to the character.

To be perfectly honest, I think she's quite beautiful. Nice facial structure and a fine form! Sure the skin looks like it's a bit weathered, but overall it's a beautiful model.

Wonderful work =kz=!:D

I am inspired. The hair really adds to the creepiness. Anyone with hair that coarse has got to be older than time.

Very nice~!
well... i love the mood. it looks creepy enuff to scare away most of the gals. but hey, i do suggest that it might look even more applealing if her dress is replaced by semi transparent white (but slightly aged) silk with lacess (and a little blood stain at the edge). it could be alot nicer and elegant. Just take a reference from Christian Dior or Channel that i saw in the mall today.
from the look of this character, i still can't figure out what is the story behind her. especially i can't identify the material on her dress tho. It's just my suggestion, hope u won't have hard feelings on this. it deserve to be better.
but anyway Good Job~!

Hey nice work, it looks quite alot like the original.

The original suit that Doug(? I think that was his name) wore from the film had no nipples, it also had no facial details until the mask burnt away. The face and body did look slightly masculine. -Given that it was a guy in a suit it's understandable, it looked masculine in that it was quite emaciated.

It was a nice suit, had lots of teeth imbedded in it, and swirly tattoos.

Cool to see more stuff in xsi too. There was a bit of work done on her in xsi for the film also.

Have fun.

The increasing tile count with smaller tiles helps really move the viewers eyes up to her torso. The decay and surface defects of her skin also create a lot of contrast throughout her body(very good thing). Her black hair around her pale face creates another great example of contrast which really makes you focus on her face, which is really good. That small amount of white marks on her body, like the one by her waist is really nice for visual movement and rhythem. Her head has the same thing going for it with the black scares running down her forhead and cheak. The highlight on the rim of her skirt by her hip along with the white skin marks surrounded by the dark coloring, and her light face with her black hair creates great visual balance with the top part of the image.
Great hair lighting highlights by her face, it creates vertical movement allowing a smooth transition from her body to her face.

The mid section of her stomach(at the same height as her right elbow) doesn't have the same sharpness in the edges that the rest of her body does.
The skirt looks rough and strong like her body, but if the pattern tiles fell a little looser they might help the skirt look like it has taken abuse over the years now having a weaker surface but still having strong support, like her body.

Fantastic.

Heya how did you do the hair? Is this the hair that comes in XSI(from Joe Alter)?

BTW, very nice character!

Thanks again to all for the comments!

Capel - Thanks! For modeling techniques, I just start with a cube and start extruding faces, adding in geometry and pulling points. Usually model half the body and mirror it over, same for the head. Then go thorugh and tweak little bits on either side. Also I model the head separate and then merge it on after.

Pixel_Pisher - Yeah she does look alittle masculine, idunno its just how it sorta turned out. I was trying to give very defined hard features but would agree that maybe some tweaking of certain areas would help make her look more feminine. Her hair was done using XSI hair (built in). I created a series of curves and then created the hair from the curves. Using curves has a disadvantage though cause the hair it generates is "rendered hair" and you can't apply dynamics to it unlike if you created the hair from geometry. You can however animate the curves.. ok i'm gonna stop babbling :)
Thanks for the comments!

kfc - Thanks for the comments! No hard feelings at all I totally appreciate your opinion. The sort of back story I had for the character in my mind was that she lived in some sort of dark forest or something along those lines. The dress I textured based on the reference I had, but i'm begining to think that I should possibly change it, i'm thinking sort of tanned animal skin with some really rough stitching or something like that and more tattered. But your ideas are great I think that she could totally suit what you mentioned.. hmmm ideas ideas :)

frumpy_bunyin - Thanks for the comments! Hey did you actually work on the movie? Yeah I chose not to add in the teeth all over her body although maybe I should have. Anyhow thanks again for the comments great to hear from someone who worked on the movie and saw the actual suit! Very cool.. :)

Nazgul - Thanks for the comments glad ya like it! Yep its xsi hair read earlier in my post for more info.

aHHHHHHH
it's a shemale
lol
;)
i like the ambience of the work.

women's proportions are a little bit diffrent hence the looking like a man. there's a book on fineart that has a page where it compares the male and female figures.. might want to take a look at that.

peace.

Nice work, the textures look nice, though i can;t tell what is happening w/ the dress. Also everything looks a little static, the pose, the dress. It might be a little too photoshoped, it looks painted, rather than 3d. You may have been going for that look, but i feel some of the depth is lost. New pose and better background could be helpful.

i really like the texturing of the lower chest area-- it is quite beautiful in an eerie visceral way-- i agree with some of the earlier comments about the skirt-- the top of it is not very convincing where it sits on her hips. a bit more sensitivity to that edge would really make her look more graceful, which would be a nice contrast to the sinisterness, making it even more creepy.

if you added another layer of light colored translucent filmy stuff it might work with what you have already--- i also think it might be cool if it was only a thin layer of some type of voile stuff that was kind of transparent and we could see her legs with some more of your great texturework.
