View Full Version : UV Layout Problem
xsitar 02-04-2007, 11:12 PM i applied a cylindrical subprojection on the head and it's pretty good. but there's an issue on top of the head, it's stretched (see linked image). if i do the "relax" it messes up all the other parts.
unfortunately i can't cover it with hair, so i need to make it look clean. any tips/ suggestions?

yes,
open the property of the projection before freezing you can choose lollipop.
It's usefull for the top of a sphere, but only on one side. That should fix the top of your head.
By the way about lscm , try silo2. I am currently finishing silo texture proxies preservation in xsi|o, the xsi|silo|sxi bridge (i will have to add a convert uv to texture proxy feature in the future version). Well you can't "try" silo2 without buying silo1 because it's a beta, you can only try silo 1.

Lollipop projection only have one pole, while sphere has 2 pole.
Imagine it's like a lollypop warper.

pretty weird. dont know why but the lollipop is even more messy (i just did a test with spherical projection, which is even cleaner than lollipop). and relax isn't even working with lollipop projection mode.
