i'd love any comments / crits good or bad...
and if anyone knows how to texture properly in XSi 2 that'd be great, because parts of the texture are stretching and i can't figure out how to solve it..

Cheers

Dave, great job modeling! Sorry, I'm not an XSI user, so I can't help you with the texturing problem. Are you trying to go for a dirty look? That is my only real crit is the texturing, the wheels and such should be a little more specular even if you plan to dirty them up.:)

Cheers Tbonz816!

i'm quite chuffed that it only took a couple of days to do, yeh you're right about me trying to get a dirty look and feel to it. needs a bit more work doin'

once it's textured properly, I've got to animate it and then composite it into real video footage, so it needs to look 'well used'...
right click on the image and select "show picture" if they don't appear first time....

a couple more textures here and there... but I still can't work out why the car looks like it's floating above the ground even though it's flush with the grid.. any ideas? something to do with the shadows maybe??

Hey Dave, maybe try 3 point lighting, or just add a fill light directly above to ground the car, I get the same floating thing when using an area light script in Max. It seems just from what I can see, that the angle of the light is a possible culprit. Keep me posted on your progress m8!:D

i'll give the 3 point lighting technique a whirl.. fingers crossed it'll sort out the floating problem... it'll be another few days before anything else is posted, taking a short easter break :)
