Title: A Sunny Day in Shibuya
Name: Thomas Cosma
Country: United States
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

This is a still image of the main focus of my first Demo Reel. The four main buildings in the foreground are based on actual buildings in Shibuya, Tokyo, and many of the props are as well. I lived in Tokyo for a short time as a foreign exchange student, and this was my favorite area to visit. The dog statue in the lower right is a popular meeting place for young people in Tokyo. With this scene I hoped to recreate the happiness this area of the city always brought to me.

I used Maya 7.0 with mental ray and Photoshop CS2 to create this.

Very rich scene. The sun light does look a bit dim. keep up the good work ;)

I like it, it looks like a photo of a miniature and any minute now some guy in a rubber godzilla suit is going to appear.

The two week points are the sky and the tiling of the texture you have used for the pink paving. It looks a bit like patterned carpet right now.

Great stuff
