View Full Version : rendering: skytracer and bump maps going nuts! help!!
ninjacore 02-24-2003, 07:42 PM i just rendered a tryout of my tank texture with a bump map and the skylight and light tracer is applied!
to my horror, the bump map turns out shitty as hell cos of the GI. is there any way to combat this ugly disaster when using GI?
the material is a Standard with a nromal diffuse and bump map applied.
please help!

the strengh is at 14 already, when i dont use GI, its barly noticable. gaaaah. looks like i'll have to use standard lights!

good, standard lights are better and will add more to the scene if used correctly
edit: but just lower the bump even more or remove it entirely just to check the render, u gotta do a few test renders to fix the problem
