Hi,

It seems that the things mentioned above just don't work together. Firstly I can't access the top menu (file, tools...) with the tablet either mouse or pen. The same problems is with other roll out menus. The second thing is that when I want to move a primitive and I left click on an axis it always moves in the direction where the mouse/pen is located on the tablet (if it's on the right side the primitive moves right/up/back depends on the axis). I don't know if I'm understood but if so, please help me :)

I remember reading that you are supposed to turn off the high res option in C4d's prefs for tablet usage. I am assuming the tablet works in other programs just fine?

Just a word of advice--If you are doing lots of graphics oriented work--ie: Photoshop/bodypaint, etc, I would reccommend the Wacom Intuos over the Graphire. The graphire are half the price of the intuos--but they are also half the resolution and not as responsive.

This could be part of the issue you are having.

Thanks for help,
everything worked just fine when I turned on the option "graphic tablet" in preferences :)
I just don't know why I haven't found it before

Well maybe I'm off a few bucks :)

Anyway, for the Intuos 4 x 5 (smaller one) I paid $199. I thought the same size graohire was like $99. Maybe I'm wrong.

remark to myself: buy hardware only in the us!

just checked again: the intuos2 costs more than 4 times than the graphire here in germany

Aha.

You might want to buy through MacMall.com (where i got mine) or PCmall.com. I dont know if the prices would be different there for non-US citizens, but I dont see why not.

Then there is ebay. or you could make a deal with someone in the US To buy and send it to you.

If you think about buying a Graphire 2 consider also the newest Wacom tablet, the Volito. It costs half the price of the Graphire 2 and the only differences are the lack of double button on the pen and the lack of scroller-wheel on the mouse.

I'd have trouble without the double button,I mean how would you do rightclick and such

when i tried a graphire 2 i never felt the necessity to use the right-click of the pen since i still use the mouse a lot

Personally I only use the pen as a painting/drawing tool. some people like to replace there mouse with the pen--I never got used to that.

I starte like that, couldn't see how some users use it for modeling, but thought I'd try it again, I"m getting fairly used to it, it is difficult to use with the dual display though, soI always have mymouse next to me.

Yeah Kai--I have a dual monitor setup too. I have to constrain the pen to my main monitor or else my horizontal movement isnt proportional to my vertical movement which is no good when your painting/drawing.

I've tried to use my wacom with c4d in my mac, also with that strange mouse it comes with(it's an A4+), but I'm still using the pen only for photoshop
