Does anybody know if the User Interface Alex uses on the tapes is available to download, It's really cool looking and wouldn't mind trying it out if he has put it out there for download :)

Nah it's more like grey and purple with black viewposts, purple sharp angle tabs.

Binary,

I think Alex has a written tutorial over at Gnomon for making that particular marking menu with the pick masks. It's in the tut section.

Isn't that IRIX he's using?? I think that maya on that OS just looks like that. I'm not sure though - it's just a thought.

not sure I've never seen an IRIX version running.

Here's a screenshot of it:

yeah, that's an Irix verision. If your refering to the buttons and such like the header. You won't be able to get it to look like that unless your running maya on an SGI running Irix. You can easily get those colors though, black background etc. But the buttons won't look like his unless your on Irix. Colors you can get I'm sure.

None, it's a screenshot from the tutorial page on the website.

B. Schulz is right, most of these colors you can change in your maya settings, and as for the panels being dark and what not, if your on windows you can just change the colors of your desktop theme. I really like Alverez's interface so I made my theme somewhat similar except for the dark maya background, heres a shot of it.

So mines not exactly like his but similar. Basically I'm posting to say you dont NEED to have a Irix version to have your header be dark and what not. Just thought I'd throw in my two cents :p
