If you don't have a lot of time on your hands I would go ahead and jut watch the videos that come with the book. Personally I haven't read the second Volume but I've gone through volume one in great detail. THe videos go through all the principles and tutorials in the book.

The only difference between the two is that the book goes into some more details about the tutorials than you'll get in the videos. So again, if you are pressed for time, the videos are a great place to start. THen when you get more time on your hands, you can go back to the book to get a deeper explination on certain topics.
