Title: PSP - Playstation Portable
Name: Guillermo Callau
Country: Argentina
Software: 3ds max, VRay

This is my attempt of modeling a PSP as detailed as posible. It is going to form part of a modeling demo reel I am working on for my school final. I modeled it completely in 3ds Max and rendered in Vray. Hope you like it :)

Nice modeling , but I would like to say that you can improve the render a lot for example you can make the table below the PSP a little less grainy, and higher the reflectiveness on the PSP materials add some extra ambient exposure and you'll have a realistic render, also try to change the agle of the camera and use a DOF. no offense man yur work is good but you can improve a lot, also try to get some light on the screen of the PSP, may be some frensel reflections because it looks so flat. I think your render will be great if you add these small details.
keep it up

I have to disagree the table looks very realistic and the grain on the table adds interest. However I do agree with the screen comment. There would be some reflection on the screen.
GREAT RENDER!

Perhaps some kind of area light or emitter would help light up the screen itself, to show that it's an LCD panel? It should be casting light, not just reflecting colors... Great modeling, though, I think it looks pretty clean and realistic!

hey, thanks for the replies. I placed the psp on a simple scene with a white environment and nothing else except for the table, I wanted to show the object in a pure environment to emphasize the modeling, however, I understand what you guys say about the reflection, I may have to add lights or objects so that they reflect on the screen (which is has a glass-reflective material but its not appreciated in this shot).
About the table bump, my initial idea was to do a cleen table without bump but it seemed way too flat and didn't offer enough contrast to with the object.
cheers :D

I like the movie on the screen, 2001? 2010 ? Either way, just adds that little more interest.
