View Full Version : high res render w/ Orthographic camera - Problem
Larry_g1s 02-01-2007, 06:16 PM I'm trying to render a high resoltion image (5120 x 4049) with the orthographic camera. The render has taken about 5 hrs, and both times I've tried rendering it, LW's Render Status window shows it at 100%, but the render doesn't show up in a new window when the renders done. I have nothing to save, and the Render Status window only shows the Abort/Esc or Continue/Enter options. Anyone now what gives? I did try a test render with a limited region of the scene, and it worked just like it was suppose to. I was able to save the render in the window it pulls up in. So I figured this second time around, all was good. :banghead:
I don't want to push Esc or Enter & loss what ever I might have, so any info. would be appreciated.

It is a pretty large picture and I have had problems myself doing big renders with F9. Try rendering with F10 instead (saves the image to disk). That solved my problem, and I bet it will solve yours.

Don't forget to deactivate image displaying, it takes a huge lot of memory and could abort the process of saving.

Thanks for the responses guys, F10 did the trick. Hard to tell, but it seemed to render faster too.
