Hi,

i am trying to use my brother computer in distributed rendering to gain some mins but buckets rendered by my brother system doesnt show any textures, i know it is something about textures sharing with my brother computer but i dont know where i am supposed to put them, do i only have to share my folder with my brother or i have to copy it on his computer in a specific place ? i tried to copy textures in his program files/common files/chaos group folder but didnt work, any idea ?

thanks

Make sure that your maps are linked via UNC path. Do not use letter mapped drives.
That should solve the problem.

What version of max / vray do you have?

Vray 1.47 had some known issues with Viz, per example

make sure the textures are in a shared folder on the your network. you can create a shared folder by right click and selecting shared and security. assuming you are under windows XP...

I have always mapped a network drive to the main texture folder on a dedicated machine. But
any machine will do. I have never had any problems with mapped network drives.

Mike
