hello everyone,

i've been trying to create an object disintegration effect such as one explained by Mr. Alex Alvarez on this link

http://thegnomonworkshop.com/tutoria...s_uniform.html (http://thegnomonworkshop.com/tutorials/gravity_vs_uniform.html)

i don't know where to input the animated map (image sequence) which would control the emission of these dust particles, so if anyone is familiar with this i would appreciate some help.

THANKS

Im pretty sure its on the emitter attributes down the bottom - Texture rate node input.

one more thing, i want an object to gradually disappear from top to bottom, i've made an animated transparency map. when i simulate the animation, i can see the object dissapear in the viewport, but not when i render the scene. it's the same no matter which renderer i use.

is it because i baked texture and lights on this object?

you have to use the hardware render buffer to see particles, unless they are a cloud, blobby or sprite particle.
