Any possibility of news on the osx port of the plugin?

Thank you,

We want to support Macs but we havn't started yet for the translator porting so I can't say how much time it will take.

About SP2, we extended the support to maya 8.5, but just after the release we found a bug related to a new shape type added to it (nClothShape). The fR translator think it's a mesh and it hangs on it. Since this shape it's just the nCloth locator (like the cloth panels) and it's not needed for the rendering, hiding the nCloth shapes avoid the problem. We already solved the bug and the fix will be distributed with the next service pack.

Cheers

Well I appreciate a response. That is NOT what was indicated by the people at your booth at SIGGRAPH. I was told the plugin was being worked on and we should expect it around the end of the year(2006). I understand about delays when creating software, but it sounds like what you are saying is there has beeen NO work done on a Mac port...

Sorry but you can't really see the speed of a renderer by a video.

Thanks, I've already watched all this videos, they look great and promising.
But I can't judge the book by it's cover.

I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. The rendering core (wich is the most complex thing to port) is in progress, but the translator porting is not started yet because of other complex tasks that are taking longer than wat expected. But we definitely wants to support all platforms.
