View Full Version : Goth Warrior WIP
jabusby 02-23-2003, 06:31 PM Hey. This is my first post here in a long time, Here is a personal project I am working on. He's gonna be a sort of Desert Goth assassin with massive Hand Cannons and a scary face mask. At the min he is sporting a stolen "Charcage" head and hands (Just to put him into perspective) I will start modelling my own this week some time. He is modelled and rendered in Lightwave 7.5.. Ok Tell me what you think.. I will keep you updated as he progresses.
Thanks
P.S The belt is not chunky enough its just a temporaty one

Most impressive, this model definitely has alot of potential :) I can see him as either some kind of archer or swordsman :D
Alright, some things that need some improvements are:
Firstly, the forearms. Muscles definition is perfect for the character, but they're too small. Scaling them some horizontally and vertical will go a long way towards correcting this I think.
Because of the dimunitive size of the forearms, the hands also appear small in relation to the body. Try to remember that a person's hands are supposed to be about as large as their face, (at least in realistic modelling).
Next are the shoulders. Those pads they're seem to have thrown you off a bit with the proportions they're as well, because they're too small. It almost looks as iff the shoulders runs of directly into the arm. Looks very weird that way.
Lastly are the pectorals. Once again, they are out of proportion, but moving some of the vertices horizontally across the torso will fix this easily.
Also, are you planning on making the eyes?
BTW: Could you post a series of full body shots? Front, side and back profiles. I'm not sure, but it looks as if the legs might be too short, I'm not sure though
Good luck :D

I would suggest fleshing out his anatomy a little more especially the abs. They need more definition.

I would agree with the pectorals being to narrow. also a few notes on the ideal hand: the middle finger is the length of the palm; the pointer finger and ring finger end at the base of the middle fingers nail; the pinkey finger ends at the base of the ring finger's last bone. Also, the over all size looks a bit small. I like the rest, and I like the somewhat soft abs actually...is he a fighter or a body builder. but you might wanna define some oblique muscle
