I did the whole painting in the space of a morning.. from 10 - 2pm incl lunch :p

it's my first proper painting on my wacom since i got it last wednesday, so it's been a good practise

is there anything that doesn't seem right? personally i wasn't too sure about the bkground trees.. i didn't know how far too take the snow!

Well, the trees on the very back have some snow on it, but then the closer trees on the hills don't have anything on it at all. Maybe you can work on that one. But don't make it too much. Just curious about if it will look better.
And the foreground, the snow where you're standing in, it looks too flat. But don't ask me how to make it better, I really have no idea :hmm:

yeh i know what you mean...

i did try the trees on the side having more snow on em... but then i thought i looked better with less... as if that side of the hill was slightly more sheltered than the top

yeh i'm not sure either about the balcony snow, ah well... prob needs some extra shading in there

hehe cool :)

but i think the mirroring is just a bit to evident on the last one.

Yeah, the mirroring is too simple, try to copy and paste from another pic a different village

yeh i know what you mean.. after all it was a simple flip.. i just wanted to see what it would be like to have a different horizon in there, i was used to seein the same skyline for a year...
