Hey, I'm just a lurker here. Wanted to show you all my latest characer. He's my first finished character made in Maya 4 (been using Max 4 for a few years), and my second low poly character. Although he's pretty hefty for a low poly character (about 3000 tri's).

Anywho, here's some shots:

C&C is surely welcome. Tell me what you think.

Cool! The cape seems to raise a bit high in a couple of the shots but I think it still rocks. I have much respect for low poly modelers!

The model looks good for a low poly design. With that map size on the textures, though relatively small, I think you could probably paint something a little sharper. The drawings at the bottom(I assume you drew) have a much nicer feel of fabric and grittiness than the model.

Cool stuff!

That is some really cool work you have there Evilkrom. ( you would not happen to be a Conan fan would you? " CROM " ). I especially like the design. Keep up the good work. :buttrock:

Thanks for the comments everyone.

The texture sharpness has alot to do with the cape, cloth, and armor taking up alot of room on the texture sheet. That, and I'm still working on my texture skills.

As for the clipping bug, it's actually just my sloppy lighting. The "bug" is actually the edge of the key light's cone. Is there a way to show the light cone in Maya?

Oh, and I'm not really a Conan fan. However, I was when I was 5... :D
