This is my first post so I decided to start it with my first reel!!!...I just got an Assotiate of Science Degree in Computer Animation and this is pretty much my first attempts to make a decent reel (after a very stressful year... but I think it was worth it :buttrock: ).

Here are some stills of army guys I worked on but I need to put sound to them because the animation is pretty much done.

The animated short is called Full Lego Jacket but as I said before I had to make a reel so I can get a job so the reel shows segments of the lego short and some other models.

Please check out my reel (and i apologize in advance if the server is too slow...SORRY!!!) at

I would really appreciate some input!!!!!:bounce:

TO tell you the truth I don't even know what I want to go for, the thing is that I really like concept art amd since I like to model I would really enjoy something along the lines of character design!!!

awesome reel, i love how all your characters interact with eachother, especially that happy turtle :)

also, could u give any insight as to how you did the sand, it looks very real :)

from that reel, it seems clear that your main skill is in drawing. Your 3D modeling is good, but the lighting, espeically in the spinning scene, could be improved.

Overal, the pace of the reel was good. The only part that seemed slow and repetative was the spinning vehilces part. That turtle looked awful funny riding a motorbike. I guess it was so happy because it could finally go FAST. :)

Thanks y'all!! , the reason the sand on the lego characters scene looks real is because it is!...hehehe.. Actually that is a beach volleyball court and I dug a trench in the middle of it, took a picture and composited with the caracters. The only thins that are real in that scene is the sand and the sky, the rest is cg.

I downloaded it. All I got was music, and almost no video. All I could see was a flickering black screen. . .

Anyone else having problems. I got the same thing in both DivX and in WMP.

I did have the same problem too. I downloaded the divx codec at www.divx.com again and installed it again. Than it worked.

And it's a very nice reel!!! :buttrock: :buttrock:

Sorry about the codec problems!!... you guys are not the only ones having problems with it. I have been getting e-mails who have the same exact problem, I guess I should put on the website some sort of warning so that the people can update their divx codec since it is very recent version.
