Here's another I am working on ... but the water is frustrating, and I've never really done landscape. Suggestions are welcome.

Hey there again soki. Your face looks sultry, but your left knee looks misplaced. I can't get my knee into that position anyway :) I'd look at some pre-raphaelite paintings for some ideas about water. I think your just making too much of a fuss with it (i.e. too many wavelets)

Cheerio

Yeah, I suppose you need to think about the movement of the character, if she is not moving much then there will not be many ripples. For me, I don't feel as though there is much movement going on with the character, the image for me suggestes she is just sitting there. Maybe only slight movement on the leg breaking the water surface.. maybe sit in the bath and see how much the water is effected by such movements? :) anyway I totally love your style in the face really nice, and the look she has on it. Looking forward to seeing progress.

[Kevin-Killjoy] Thank you for that info! I knew there was something off about her position, but I was more concentrated on her hand pushing through - I can see clearly that her knee and leg are grossly misplaced. lol. Will work on that, and will look for something more calm (i.e. bathwater as Mrbiscuit suggested) to add.

[mrbiscuit] Thank you so much! I know for this piece she is lying completely still because she's just been aware of the figure watching her, but a sudden movement would bring a bit more life to her. I'll think about composition about it -- maybe add an element in there to make her more dynamic (her sword lying on a nearby rock?). Thanks again!

And here is my thoughts on skin tones and her overall look -- this will change as I tweak (or totally change) the composition.
