two.oh 02-23-2003, 12:19 AM hey, the image ive attached is pretty self-explanatory........i don't know why im getting those edges from the shadow.......
i'll post up a wireframe as well.........its all polygon modelling, except the lamp
any help would be greatly appreciated.

okay, i figured it out that it was the resolution of the depth map shadow, but when i put raytracing shadows on, the shadows disappear, why?

Most likely because you need to turn Raytracing on in the Render Globals.
There's a whole Raytracing section in the Render Globals that you need to enable.

If you still want to use dmap shadows increase dmap filter size, and if dmap resolution is too small for your scene then pump it up as well.
