View Full Version : 1st Game Model. LooKing for Crits
CrazyEnzo 02-22-2003, 11:09 PM This is my first low poly attempt and I would just like to know what you guys think. Please be as harsh as you need to. I throw my ego out the door when it comes to art, and you cannot offend me.
here are the right, left, back, and a couple other close ups of the model.

polycount is 3710 and present, and I am bringing it down to around 2500 at the max.
Let me know what you think.

Looks promising, just one suggestion: Try and turn the toes around so that two are facing forward and one is facing back. This should help avoid any problems when you want to start animating.

THanks for the suggestion. I think I will branch these models and try the animation with both toe setups.
i will repost monday

yo hamburger lovin roundeye...
looks pretty cool, the poly count defintely can be reduced... you know that you have to triangulate in maya to get an actual poly count right? you try the mjpolytools yet?
well ill be in nashhell like friday on... will holla.

Betoo,
I will be texturing slowly, as i am new to digital painting, etc. , but it will happen.
Jimiyo,
it is triangulated in the ppictures already, and polycount is now down to 2700.

Here is the Toe in Front version for you SARC. Textures will be appearing Saturday. Which version I will use is still up in the air.
Let me know what you think.
If you want more pics, different shots, etc. let me know and it will happen quickly. I really want to focus on a quality model and then move on to texturing.

The model look ok for game, I would suggest to work more on your profile, it look kinda flat, would be more interessting to make it more dynamic. Good job tho

its coming along nicely
but the only thing that seems to really bug me about it is the hands...
are they supposed to be that small?
and see if u can cut down more ploygons...less polys faster run time especially over the net...but of course u already know that :P

personal crit, but i'd like to see longer legs on the guy..
for his upper torso (or even pelvic region) it looks like longer legs would be more appropriate,
otherwise i like the model nice n unique

I am gonna start texturing now, see ya in a bit with my posts.
