A problem that we discover in our classes was... an object transparent is maya is projecting shadows ? it is posible ? we are using Alias Maya 4.5

It is a bug ?

any detail that donīt know in the configuration of transparency ?

anyone knows about it ?

If you want to use objects with transparencies, then you'll have to use ray trace shadows on your lights. Shadow mapped lights will not recognize the transparecy settings of a texture map.
