View Full Version : 3Dstudio bugs!
Cronium 02-22-2003, 08:27 PM Iīm working on a character for an animated short (pixar style) and i have a real huge problem; when i select a vertex or face (i think it does the same with all subselections...) and try to move it 3Dstudio unselect it. So, i can select but i cannot use the selection...
Iīm currently making morphtargets for the face. Maybe the morph-modifier has something to do with it?
Any idea whatīs wrong?

No you can move subselections alright. .. that is if you're talking about 3D Studio MAX, which I'm guessing you are. Just "3D Studio" is technically the name of the old DOS versions.
Anyway, show us some images of your problem, because I don't know what's up just going by your description. Rest assured that you can move subselections just fine. And I doubt what you're experiencing is a bug..

I know that I can move subselections, otherwise I couldnīt build a model, right? :)
I found out a way to bypass the bug though:
If you turn on "reload targets automaticly" in the morph modifier panel the problem disapears. The bug occured when I tried to move vertexes after I reloaded the targets manually (by pressing the button "reload all targets")
By the way, I use 3D studio MAX 5.1.
