View Full Version : Wrap deformer problem

I set up objects and skinned them.

Before i skinned them I used them as wrap deformers on another object, which works fine.

Now, trying to use them as wrap deformers of another object after having skinned the wrap deformers, when rotating joints i have almost the correct deformation apart from a vertex here and there popping totally out of position, back to origin.

Maybe you are not supposed to add them as wrap deformers after skinning, but I thought that was one of the benefits of using them.

Any idea where I might be going wrong? I had tips to up the max influence value, and to change the type of influence to vertices instead of faces, but that doesn't make a difference.

stahlberg has a tut that i did 3 days ago and i had the same problem sorry cant help u :hmm:
try this - the wrap deformer has distance settings try to set it higher from 0.1 to step by step 0.9

Tried that already.

Turns out what causes it is overlapping geometry, the wrap deformer gets confused by it.

Fixed the overlap and now it works fine!

oh overlapping - thats my problem too :)
hmm but a level 0 model has often overlapping i go back to the polyproxy way so MR can render my scene too :)
