biscuit 03-27-2002, 12:14 AM Hi all,
I couldn't resist joining this challenge - even at this late stage.
I had yesterday off and was able to do a little work.
Here goes:
My character is a Celestial (or more technically a half-celestial) with a lynx base. Celestials are beings that are the natural enemies of demons and fiends. While they live on the planes of good, they spend a good deal of time defending the mortal realm against evil. This is according to the D&D Monster Manual III.
I want to depict this character in an action/battle pose as a commerative statue of this character's last stand. I've really admired the fantasy style sculptures done in brass, resin, etc, and thought it might be cool to create one digitally.
Here are the sketches.

Hey
Like your character background, and the model looks great so far.
You might want to lower his nipples. Although I'm not very familiar with lynx nipples :D
If they are more or less human they should lie somewhere on a line drawn from shoulder to navel.

Here is an update showing the legs. I have a lot of work to do to the feet and Im still not very happy with the leg proportions.
Dr. Morouex Im not (nor can I spell).
Mindmatter- Thanks for taking a look. I agree about the breasticles and I'll give them a drop. Nice work on your thread btw. I really like your concept and modeling style.
Oz- If I had previously seen your thread, I would not have even bothered to participate in this challenge. Your drawings are incredible. I love your character design. I thought maybe my digital statue idea was somewhat original, but your all over that as well. Stunning work!

Gabe & Dark_Des- Thanks for stopping by.
Yeah, I really like LW too. ;)
Both you guys are doing fabulous in this challenge.
I am a bit of a Spawn freak ( I have the new Clown I'm dying to model). Unbelievable detail in your model Gabe.
Love the detail in the brow and the bridge of the nose on your model Dark_Des. Cant wait to see the final product.

I cant seem to find time to work on this project, but I did today!
He's finially got a head(minus ears);)
I still need to model the hands and add a ton of details. Mostly of the furry and hairy sort. The plan is to clothe this guy in leather knickers and a loose shirt. Of course, there is also some leg armor, bracers and a sword needed to round things out.
kfc- hey, thanks for the comments. Your work completely blows me away. I wish I had your gift for detail.
Back to work:wip:

Eventhough I wasnt able to finish this challenge, I wanted to go ahead and post the model as is. I was able to complete the body, although most of the detail is still missing.
If you stand back about five feet from your monitor and squint your eyes, you can see this quy in a squatting action pose holding a sword in a defensive parry. He is wearing a loose shirt that ties in front and leather knickers. There are small bracers on his arms and some very elegant (yeah, right) leg armor that covers his shins. You'll even be able to tell from this distance that he is a lynx by his unmistakable beard and short tail.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
