I have a scene which I've set up for GI, where I have hair that are basic nurbs surfaces, which I have mapped with a transparency map.
This be where the problem starts. I have raytraced shadows enabled in the light and in the render globals for maya. When rendering the scene in Mental ray without GI or FG, the shadows are rendered fine. Enabling FG the shadows are rendered fine.
However, using only GI, the shadows are rendered as if Mental Ray ignores the transparency map.
Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, know of any solutions to the problem? Apart from rendering without GI;)
