View Full Version : polyboost extrude edge ;/

Hello everybody! I have verry irritating problem- when i use border from poly draw and extrude the edge in perspective it seems to be ok. http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/209/widok15mv.jpg
But when i rotate perspective a little bit the edge isn't in place i wanted it to be ;/

I don't know what's going on, somebody please help me.

Take care on what coord system you are, when you're moving. You can choose from view, local, etc. Read it up ;)

No mater what coord system i chose it's the same. Anytime when i try to extrude edge by "border" in perspective mode i have the same problem

Why don't you just move it where you want it?

Yes i can move the edge where i want but it takes twice as much time as i would extrude with shift. I thought polyboost fastens the work but for me not;/

Hey Zonk, the reason that is happening is because the moved vertices are projected onto the grid of the active view, it does not work in "Screen" coordinate system.

With that model you could switch to an appropriate ortographic view and move it like you did since the grid in that view would be aligned to the flat model. You could also setup a surface that you project onto. Look that up in the help for more info.
