So, I'm just now picking up Z-brush... well not just now, but I've decided that it'll be my next focus. Anyway, my question is: Is it more beneficial to use a Pen Tablet or a Mouse? I've tried using my Tablet; however, the results are less than adequate. Perhaps I just need to get used to Z-brush and the way it works, or my tablet isn't configured correctly.

Personally i can't stand sculpting with a mouse. ZBrush is a pretty different app compared to your usual 3d program or PS...So, you might just need to become more familiar with it. There are some settings for the tablet under "Preferences."

I use my mouse to navigate then i do all the sculpting and painting with my tablet. Honestly whatever you can do with a mouse you can do better with a tablet, Plus there is pressure sensitivity and all that stuff, so i see no point in using a mouse over a tablet. I just think its easier to navigate with a mouse so i switch between the two as i work.
