Hi all,

I'm trying to model a tree. I start with a cylinder and start editing at the vertex level. When I delete vertices because I want the shape to be not perfectly cylindrical, the model opens up and I can see inside of it. How do I close the model so that it's solid again? Thanks!

Howdy !

first off, it kind of makes sense that deleting vertices might create holes in your mesh.. you might want to try to push them around to avoid symmetry in your mesh ?

anyhow, to solve your problem, you can select the vertices surrounding the holes and apply a "Cap" modifier, or turn to polygon/face subobject mode and hit "Create" and start on sewing...

to elaborate on mouj's latter statement:
